How many followers can you lose in an hour?

by Jamak on September 3, 2009

Are you kidding me? So many people these days use social media to spam. I mean are you kidding me?!! Their auto DM welcoming you as a follower is a pitch!! this is like being in a party and have someone walk in wearing an outfit that is nothing but an add for his / her product and service. Then they walk up to you and you say hi my name is so and so… they respond by saying “how would you like to buy…” I mean are you freaking kidding me? what are you thinking?

Do you really think people are going to buy anything from you? I would love to understand the mind set of these individuals. Is it pure laziness and lack of respect for others or is there actually a strategy behind this?

there are many effective and creative ways of building your business online. Regardless of your type of business, you can do very well online as long as you understand that people are people. They have to know and trust  you first. If you GET this, you can make as much as you desire online.

Be sure to leave me your name and email below so that I can send you free information on how to effectively sell your product and services or get people to join you in your venture.

I do use an auto DM when people follow but it only to say thanks and invite them to visit my blog. Since I do not sell products or have sales pitches on my blog, a couple ads yes but no products to hard sell, then it isn’t so much a billboard as a welcome card in my opinion.

I personally think all forms of media get inundated with marketing and spam. Twitter and top notch programmers will figure out how to almost eliminate the spam over time just like they have email and IM. Notice I said almost. Spammers will always find a way around but I have been pretty happy with my current controls on my blog and in my email accounts.
